The near 40th anniversary of YES came to be cancelled because of their singer, Jon Anderson, being sidelined for at least 6 month by medical reason (acute respiratory failure). What to do, what to do?
Well, they got the solution, and when I say they that’s “they minus Jon Anderson”. A replacement has been found where else but on Youtube. Benoit David has been recruited for the job after bassist Chris Squire watched a clip of Benoit David on youtube. The new guy perfoms as the lead sing for a Yes - cover band located in Montreal, Canada. So, watch out! Youtube can bring you an audition with your favorite band.

Benoit David will handle the vocals until Jon Anderson will be recovered, next year.

Jon Anderson’s reaction? Very dissapointed that his bandmates chose this path and sad that they didn’t get in touch with him since he got sick.

Jon Anderson said that he’s:

“…disappointed that, with the exception of one phone call from Alan, none of the guys have been in touch since my illness, just to find out how I am doing, and how we will foresee the future for Yes. And disappointed that they were not willing to wait till 2009 when I’m fully recovered.
Of course I wish the guys all the best in their ’solo’ work, but I just wish this could have been done in a more gentlemanly fashion. After all Yes is a precious musical band.”

“This is not Yes on tour.”

Will this be or will no be YES on tour?
