Porcupine Tree, for me, is one of those bands that I could talk about for hours.

I “met” them about 4 years ago - I was listening to them all day log. After about 2 weeks of intense listening all my online friends were asking me who they are and wanted to listen to them to see why they had such an effect on me. This Porcupine Tree euphoria lasted for me about 2 months (almost non stop listening). In Absentia and Warszawa had no secrets for me.

Then I began listening to the rest of the albums. And I had more and more great surprises with each album I listened to. I slowly fell in love with a totally different song. I waited for the sky to turn blue with the Smart Kid, I watched Trains leaving the summer behind them, I flew to Jupiter Island, I lived days in which I was sure It Will Rain For a Million Years, I never took my Last Chace to Evacuate Planet Earth Before It Is Recycled, I loved the Blackest Eyes, I wanted to run Way Out of Here. Porcupine Tree became my soundtrack.

They became one of my favourite bands. Although I don’t listen to them as much as I did back then, when I’ve discovered them, I still love them and have the great surprise of still discovering songs from a totally different perspective. And this happens only to great bands such as this one.

I think I could never state that a certain album is my favourite, cause have songs I really love in each album. But no matter what, I can say that my all time favourite song by them is Last Chance to Evacuate Planet Earth Before It Is Recycled for its simplicity, great great lyrics, and for the feeling this songs gives me.

I’m sure there will be many years ahead when I will still be listening to this band, so this is only the Start of Something Beautiful
